Meet Dr. Trent Marburger

Dr. Marburger is originally from Columbus, Ohio. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated magna cum laude with degrees in both Zoology with a concentration in molecular genetics and Psychology. After working for two years in a cancer genetics laboratory at The Ohio State University, he was accepted to The Ohio State University College of Medicine. After graduation from medical school, Dr. Marburger went on to complete an anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Cleveland Clinic. He then stayed on at Cleveland Clinic for a year-long fellowship in Dermatopathology where his training was focused solely on the microscopic diagnosis of skin conditions.

In his time at Cleveland Clinic Dr. Marburger published multiple research papers in well-respected medical journals and was awarded an excellence in teaching award for his instruction of dermatology resident physicians.

His role in patient care is not one that the patients will often see with their own eyes, but it is extremely important in the care they receive here at Apex. A correct and precise diagnosis is imperative to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes. Dr. Marburger works closely with the clinical team members to make sure that they have all the information necessary to make the best clinical decisions for our patients.
