Fillers are used to add volume and shape to areas such as cheeks and lips, and to fill in deep lines and folds in areas such as parenthesis lines, corner of the mouth, and marionette lines.
Fillers
Your provider will recommend the type of filler that’s best for your specific needs, likely from the Juvederm or Restylane family of products. Results are long-lasting for 1-2 years depending on the product, placement, and your own body.
During your consultation, you and your provider will determine the type and amount of product to help you reach your goals.
Types of Fillers
Not all Fillers are created equally, nor are they comprised of the same materials. Knowing the differences and which is the best fit for you can help, though your dermatologist will determine this for you.
The fillers we use here at Apex Skin include:
- Juvederm® – This filler is made up of hyaluronic acid, a substance your body naturally creates and breaks down over time. As we age, we produce less of this, resulting in sagging skin that lacks youthful fullness. This filler is a great option for adding fullness and definition to the lips.
- Restylane® – Like Juvederm®, this filler is comprised of hyaluronic acid, allowing for a youthful fill that your body naturally breaks down over time. Restalyne is a good filler to use for the nasal folds and marionette lines. Also like Juvederm, if you want plump and defined lips, this is a great treatment option for that.
