CoolSculpting, much like many other procedures, can be a little confusing. What does it do exactly, how does it work, and is it right for you?
We asked you what you want to know about CoolSculpting, and Jess Larkin, Aesthetic Nurse and CoolSculpting specialist in our Westlake office, has your answers!
How does CoolSculpting work?
Coolsculpting works using the science of Cryolipolysis.Â
“An applicator is applied to the targeted area and in a short period of time literally freezes fat cells. Fats cells do not like cold and once the fats cells are frozen your body naturally eliminates the dead cells in 1-3 months resulting in 20-25% fat reduction in the treated areas.”
How helpful is CoolSculpting for postpartum mamas?
Generally speaking, if you have pinchable fat, you’re likely a candidate for CoolSculpting. This is officially determined during your initial consultation (which is complimentary—you can schedule that here).Â
“The most popular postpartum treatments areas for moms are the lower abdomen and love handles.”
I have stubborn fat on my arms, would CoolSculpting help?
Yes! Arms are a very common area to be treated and the results are fantastic.Â

Can men do CoolSculpting?
Yes! Women are not the only ones who have stubborn fat that can be treated with Coolsculpting.Â
“Although CoolSculpting may be more talked about by women, men are also using CoolSculpting to change their bodies for the better. Men love the fact that CoolSculpting is non-invasive, is FDA approved and comes with no downtime.”
Some of the most popular areas to treat for men are the abdomen to help get rid of stubborn fat that just won’t go away.Â
How many treatments of CoolSculpting will I need?
CoolSculpting is an non-invasive procedure that helps permanently get rid of stubborn fat.Â
Each person is different, but it is typically recommended for 1-3 treatments per area, with 3 months between each treatment to see maximum results.
Is CoolScupting worth it?
Absolutely! CoolSculpting is an easier body contouring procedure than liposuction, with no anesthesia, no incision, and no downtime following your treatment.
